REGISTRATION AND GUIDELINES

NUFF Global competition guidlines

The Film Idea competition:

  • Deadline: 15. November 2008
  • Subject: Climate Changes
  • Our intention is to receive film ideas telling stories about the different aspects on climate changes, the consequences and eventual solutions. The most important is to give the theme a human face.
  • It’s possible to receive limited consulting, developing the film ideas by NUFF Global
  • The film must not be longer than 15 minutes
  • Only the submission forms on our website is valid
  • It’s only possible to submit one idea per form, but the same person can submit several ideas
  • You have to send a pitch of the idea in 50 words and a short description of the whole project including staff, equipment, background and an approximate budget
  • In case the film idea is based on a literature adaptation, we need a affirmation of the publisher
  • An international jury will choose maximum 10 ideas and release a production support with maximum USD 5.000,-.
  • The production support will be given in two rates – 50% after assignment and 50% after receiving a pilot of the film
  • The supported film production must send a pilot or teaser before receiving the second rate.
  • NUFF Global has to be declared as co-producer in the titles of the film
  • NUFF Global gets the right to use the film on a non-commercial base (DVD distribution)
  • The film must be in English language or with English subtitles
  • Film must be delivered by Mini-DV, DVcam or DVD
  • We will submit the film at Creative Commons for non-commercial copyright
  • All genres are possible
  • The film will be distribute on a sampler DVD
  • The used music in the film must be copyright clear for festival screening, website and non-commercial use
  • The director/writer of the film should be 18 and must be under 30
